Infertility: method of curing

There are a lot of kinds of infertility curing nowadays. The most widespread are planned coitus, hormonal therapy, intra uterus insemination, in vitro fertilization (IVF), ICSI.

Planned coitus is one of the most popular methods of infertility curing. If the results of examination are fine (the state of uterus tubes, semen examination, endometrial state) the doctor will give you an advice to use such method. Such method is based on determination of ovulation day. In this day the attempt of fertilization should be done. In this case spermatozoa will be in uterus tubes in that moment when oocytes will release from follicle.

Intra uterus insemination is a procedure when semen is placed to uterus cavity. Such method is used if the first method is unsuccessful or if there are some problems with cervical mucus.

In vitro fertilization (IVF). IVF is the most widespread method of infertility curing. It is based on oocytes’ fertilization in vitro (in embryological laboratory). The received embryo is transferred in uterus cavity. The embryo transfer is done using special catheter (such process will take several minutes). After that woman has an opportunity to go home. After that future mother should pass some exams and visit ultrasonic exam. This method is often recommended if there are some problems with uterus tubes state, endometrial problems, cervical pathologies etc. Such method is used for curing of different kinds of infertility.

ICSI is a manipulation when spermatozoa is placed right inside the oocytes using surgical method. Such procedure is done in embryological laboratory using special microscope and manipulators. ICSI should be done if male infertility has a place. But it is important to remember that there is the risk that the next generation will have the problem of infertility.
